Depending on how the 4th circuit rules, the case is likely headed to the SCOTUS. It will come down to - as usual - What Anthony Kennedy Thinks™. If what he remains true to what he said in prior cases the administration will lose. But with sufficient scare mongering by the administration's lawyers ("national security interest") the case can become needlessly close.

They said the ban would be what 90 days so they could work on making immigration tighter. So I assume they have been working on this "plan" in the mean time? So they should be almost done no? Seriously why do they have to implement this stupid muslim ban to work on our immigration?????

I think this came up in the questioning from the court. The US seems to have not actually done much, if anything to advance the stated goals of the EO on the timeline specified. Courts seem to be taking a dim view of the intent here and the fact that the government seems to be sitting on its ass when it comes to implementing policy to address the reasons the EO was supposedly needed in the first place.

I'd like to think immigration reform was the primary intention of the 90 day psuedo-travel-not-a-muslim-ban, but that's highly suspect.
Crafting well thought out reform or legislation seems to be at the bottom of the Con's to-do list.
