Muskin vs Cosair

I'm building a new system with an AMD 64FX/ASUS motherboard: I'm between 1 gig (2x512 matched pairs) of either cosair XMS 3200 pro (registered low latiency) vs the twin level II mushkin equilivants.

The corsair seem to have lower latiency (?better specs) - any thoughts? I've been told that mushkin memory ALWAYS plays well together and with others while cosair pairs USUALLY play well with each other however 2 sets of pairs may not interact well. Obviously I can get more memory at a lower price using cosairs however 1 gig of either is within my price point (I would not get 2 gig of cosair vs 1 gig of mushkin at this time).

Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

Just another quick question.... I was also told that windows xp's "sweet spot" was one gigabit of ram and that adding more (ie. 2 gigs) would be a waste of time/money. Is this true?

having 2gb not being good fpr WinXp is not true, but that doesn't men to just go out and get 2gb. For most people 1gb is more than enough. If you really needed 2gb of memory you'd know thatand probably wouldn't have to ask :)

I prefer Mushkin, it has always served my systems incredibly well. Not that corsair is bad, you can't go wrong with either. I remember back in the day when people bought corsair just because it has a cool sounding name. Good thing they offered good memory back then too.
best advice is: Between Corsair and Mushkin, just get whatever you find is cheaper.
