Musketeer

Does the new musketeer support controling only one fan?
It says it can only control one in terms of power but if you have a double way splitter and attach it to the musketeer and then 2 fans, would it work?
Please is there any way around this..... I could use the help.
Thanks

Depending on the fans you're hooking up to it, I'd say you'd have no problem running more than one off of it.

Yea, I think that'd be okay to split them up. But first read up on how much the channel gives in wattage. The Sunbeams do a fat 20w each and the smaller 3.5 rheobuses only support 8w. I'm sure you could try it with no hazards, but if that's a CPU fan you're hooking up to the musketeer, then I would high recommend against it. Because if it can't handle the wattage, one of the two fans on that channel will die and if it's the CPU then you're gonna have some Intel/AMD sponsered bbq.

Thanks a lot. I'm just going to buy a splitter. Oh and i'm not planning on using it for the CPU, just my 2 front-placed vantec tornadoes.

WHOA! If you have Tornadoes, you should definitely pay close attention to the wattage that unit will carry! They are rated at something like 9 watts each ! So that would be a combined load of 18 watts on the controller.
