I don't know anything about music to begin with, so... I am not taking this test. :p

The shapes relate to the change in the patterns/pitches of the music, mostly.

Total Score: 90%

Pitch Discrimination: 91.3%
Musical Memory: 91.0%
Contour Discrimination: 83.1%
Attention 89.2%
Musical/Visual Abstraction: 88.7%

I got a few wrong at the start, before I finally understood what the test was about. It's basically visualizing what you're listening to and finding the image that best represents the changes in the music.

Uh...

I don't visualize shapes when I think about music... lol

I can clearly hear all the notes, and I understand them.. I don't see how they associate with the shapes though.

I tried to relate the shapes to the change in pitch but I guess I'm retarded cause it didn't really make sense and I quit after the third one. Half the time to me it seemed all three sets of symbols were part of the musical sequence, not just one.

Some of them are more obvious if you're a musician (or were, in my case...) and you see the correlation between the arrows in the pictures and rising or lowering pitch (sort of like how notes are arranged in sheet music).

#10 is totally "ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny" :D

for the most part it's fairly simple.. you simply listen to the pitch and style of the music (does the pitch increase or decrease, is the segment repeated or varied?) and pic shapes based on that. i got a few wrong so far though.

75% overall with a breakdown of:

72.5
76
78.3
68.8
75.1

Pitch Discrimination 94.2%
Musical Memory 89.5%
Contour Discrimination 90.4%
Attention 82.8%
Musical/Visual Abstraction 87.6%

I thought I would utterly fail this test since I'm not musically inclined at all. That was a pleasant surprise.

70%...it takes a few of them to "get" what to look for. For the record, I'm not the slightest bit musically inclined.

I bet if you did the test on acid you would score 100%, what with being able to see the music and all
