What type(s) of music do you listen to when studying to better help you relax and concentrate?
If it's an mp3 stream, link? So far I've been listening to 'Groove Salad' on www.somafm.com
 
I can't really listen to music if I have to really concentrate on my homework. When I grade I usually stream my mp3 collection from my house and listen to that.
 
i strap on my wireless headphones and put my complete mp3 library in winamp

which is now on NOFX - The Decline so i should be good for another 18min without switching songs, and hopefully be done with hmwk by then

When I grade papers I listen to Godsmack, Disturbed, Slipknot, etc. It help set the mood for all of the failing grades I give on the papers :evil:

LOL. 😀 Yeah I usually listen to music exactly like that (actually those bands too) when I grade. I'm already feeling hostile because I hate grading so much so it fits right in.

While I don't listen to the same soundtrack, anything w/ out lyrics as background music works fine for me 🙂

Tell me about it. I'm grading survey papers for a 1000 level Euro Civ class, populated by mostly freshman and sophmores, and these people can't write worth a damn. They're not interesting at all, and it's a minimum of 5 pages. So, the first few papers get passing grades, and unless the others peak my curiousity, they get low D's or failing, depending on the song that's on at the time :evil:. Grading sucks!

I graded a class of fifth graders tests while listening to Korn and Kiss. Needless to say they all failed.

They really did deserve to fail, I swear!

Of course, the fact that none of them brought their vocab words which were 25% of their grade did not help.
