I have USB Drives of 2G and 64G capacity from EXMAPOR both formatted FAT32 for mp3 music files. The 64G drive plays in any music box or computer, the 2G plays on any computer but not on any music box!
I would probably skip the question and get another 64GB drive and clone your existing on to it if you need 2 drives.
I'd be willing to bet it's probably due to the older USB format not being recognized or being too slow for the player to stream from. I recently picked up a SanDisk 32GB on Amazon for under $10 that has a transfer rate of ~100MB/s for cloning / livecd / ISO images.
