Music (Techno x Rap)

Anyone listen to trap music? It's basically 808-produced womp (low frequency) beats with rolled high hats, blocks, and snares, and it's exploded in Los Angeles, TX, and NY over this summer.

Flosstradamus has been one of its main pioneers, but I think the newcomers do it better. This genre is probably going to go mainstream in the next year, so enjoy it while it's still good.

Why would they use the term trap music? That just makes me think of TI

I get that it's a combination of techno + rap but "trap music" is a nomenclature already associated with rap, so it's confusing

I can't really get in to Flosstradamus for some reason, but that song is pretty decent, nice rolls. The annoying lyrics and sample in "We Are Farmers" kinda kills it.

I agree, but I think "trap muzik" (from the South) has faded away enough from the mainstream to prevent confusion.

I love the sound of trap. Dub step is too much bass.
