I have the hercules fortissimo 2 as my sound card and a logitech cordless keyboard attached to the ps/2 port on my Shuttle AN35 Nforce 2. Unfortunately, whenever i play music from winamp and I type, the sound stutters and it is extremely annoying. I have the newest sound card drivers from hercules installed on a clean install of winxp w/ sp1 and all updates. Additionally, my computer is equipped with 1 gig of ram and is currently running w/ a 2500+ barton, everything at stock settings. Does anyone know what is causing this? TIA

After doing some research, under system information: Hardware Resources: Conflucts/Sharing: There appears to be a bunch of entries there, should it be blank? Here's one involving the sound card:

Memory Address 0xEA000000-0xEAFFFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Memory Address 0xEA000000-0xEAFFFFFF Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo(tm) II

Is this related to my problem at all?

Your motherboard have onboard sound? Simply for diagnostics, if it does you could try removing your sound card and the drivers, installing the mb sound drivers, and seeing what happens - or if you don't have onboard sound, you could use another sound card if you have one laying around or can borrow one. I had a hercules/guillemot sound card a while back, not sure when I bought it but it was ISA so we're talking a while.. despite having the latest drivers the card caused problems pretty much constantly. It caused games to crash & conflicted with other cards. Finally yanked it out and had an extremely stable system for a while, but with no sound till I bought a cheap SB. IMO the company is crap.

I had the same problem, and I have an Audigy. I switched out keyboards and it went away. If you're buying a new one, I'd get the USB flavor.
