Music: Single downloads outnumber albums

From my personal preferences only; when albums are released

20% good new songs, 40% rehash good, 40% crap, remainder % = ??

Some of the selection determination is by the artist, some is by the producer/label.

I can understand that crap to me is gold to some-one else, however, it would be nice to pick & choose an album of 15-20 songs from a given artist or even a group of artists from a label.
