Music question

Nickelback-How you remind me

Because of that fvckin song they get on my nerves every day of the week because i cant stop hearing them at local radio AGRHHHJJJGSSDAFDSA

coheed and cambria- that one single they had a while back is GOOD. but i bought the album, and its the worst album recorded since ever. seriously, worst thing ive ever bought.

If solo acts are fair game, then the late Big Punisher (RIP). Biggest hit was the radio-friendly "Still Not a Player" hands down, but explore the Capital Punishment album and you'll find he's one of the most talented hiphop lyricists of all time. That song doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of his ability. It's sad he died so young.

digital underground. everyone knows the 'humpty dance', but that whole album ('sex packets') is great imo.

This sorta applies:

Led Zeppelin. They are known for Stairway, Kashmir, and Whole Lotta Love mostly, but most of their music is blues or heavily blues influenced rock. Then look at LZ III which is all over the map. Many people pigeon hole them as being a Stairway/Kashmir rock band when they're so much more. 🙂

Thunderclap Newman is a prime example

Speaking of Thunderclap Newman, has anyone ever actually SEEN "The Strawberry Statement"??? Is it an actual movie?!

I have the alleged soundtrack to it on vinyl. It's a great collection, chock full of CSNY with a splash of Newman and Buffy Sainte-Marie.

Anyway, back on track I nominate:
Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside A Broken Phonebooth With Loose Change In My Pocket or whatever the hell it was called.
I knew a great many people that bought the Rocket album after hearing that song and realizing that the single wasn't even recorded by the same lineup and the rest of the album was completely different....and crappy.
