its a couple months old but the suit is working its way through the courts. the suit was filed
by representaitves of the late modern composer philip glass who claim a british artist infringed
on one of glass' silent compositions called 4'33".

if the suit is successful, its not inconceivable that we may be fined if we ever shut-up.

thankfully telepathy is only a few years away :Q

I was busted for this as a repost when I posted it, but it's a great story. Here's the original From "The Independent" (UK)
Batt said last night: "I've received a letter on behalf of John Cage's
music publishers. I was in hysterics when I read their letter."

"As my mother said when I told her, 'which part of the silence are they
claiming you nicked?'. They say they are claiming copyright on a piece
of mine called 'One Minute's Silence' on the Planets' album, which I
credit Batt/Cage just for a laugh. But my silence is original silence,
not a quotation from his silence."
