Music playback problems

I was playing some mp3's with Winamp through my pc speakers (two Klispsh Pro-media). Sounds great. Decided to change the input of my Denon so that I would hear the music through my home stereo (I have a monster cable analog patchcord from the rear channel of the sound card [Creative Audigy 2ZS] to the Denon). Strange thing was that there was no music coming through the home stereo. I opened up Creative's Sound Mixer > speaker settings. Under speaker/headphone selection it said "2/2.1 Speakers". I don't know why this setting changes on it's own (yeah, creative has problems), but I change the setting back to "4/4.1 Speakers". Still no music coming out of my home stereo. Now, I decide to try the "Speaker Test" while the music is playing. I click the "Channel" button and I hear (while the music is playing) "front left" and "front right" from the pc speakers followed by "rear right" and "rear left" out of the home speakers, but still no music out of the home speakers (although the music is still playing fine out of the pc speakers).

So, is this odd occurance creative's fault or winamp's doing? Why does the music playback only sound thru my pc speakers and not thru my home speakers?
