Hey just wondering what, if any, software you guys use to organize music files. I know iTunes of course, but I prefer not to use it as I don't have any Apple products anymore. I have a Samsung Galaxy, and the Samsung Kies software can organize/manage music files but honestly the software is slow and clunky

All I really need to do is change the Artist information for a lot of files so they all match up and come up under a single artist. I can do that just in windows explorer but only 1 at a time so it's very tedious

I do it by folder, and I did it manually. It can take a little time if you're starting with a disaster, but a little time every day or when you're bored will get it in shape in not too much time.

I manually organize my folders by artist then album. MP3tag works very well for doing the ID-3 tagging.

Seriously media monkey can do this so quick and easy. The free version is all you need to do this. And it can be run as a portable app as well

Musicbee. Whenever I get new music in my music folder Musicbee places it in my "Inbox". I can scan through and autotag from Musicbrainz. FreeDB, Discogs, Beatport or Last.fm and then have it move the newly tagged albums to my full library.
