I've been downloading music for awhile now and have finally started paying for the songs that I get. Unfortunately the site that I have been buying from is having server issues whenver your try and buy a song. AllofMp3.com. THeir prices are deffinately decent and the song qualities are top notch. They also have one of the largest selections out there that I have found. Does anyone else know of any other site that offers what this one does? Cause I am tired of just relying on one site to get the songs I want, no redunancy is a bad thing.

I'd very much like to know as well where people get their music from.

It's illegal, they pirate it, but in russia there's no law against piracy, so nothing can be done. Russian company.

DC++ btw... :p

you do realize that allofmp3.com is illegal in the united states right? if you are going to pay them, you might as well just steal music since that money is just going to some russian company.

if it is illegal here in the states, someone want to show me the law? Their site states:
You are not able to download audio and video from AllOFMP3.com if is in conflict with the laws of your country of residence

Yeah...unless you have a portable player that plays WMA DRM'd files. I think www.playsforsure.com has a full list. Then you can bring all your songs everywhere.

w00t, my mp3 player is on the list. now the real question, does it download it to the hard drive? if so, why couldn't it be copied to a cd without anything knowing?

Yeah it gets downloaded to the hard drive. DRM prevents it from being burned to a cd.

All the materials in the MediaServices projects are available for distribution through Internet according to license # LS-3?-05-03 of the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society."

personally i could care less if people buy their music legally or not or even steal their music but i thought you might want to know that you are breaking the law :)

russian law does not apply in the US

It is not illegal in the US. RIAA would like you to think it was illegal, but the fact is they still want to sell music in Russia, so they sell to the Russian licensing commission with full knowledge that this gives AllofMP3 to sell cheap copies to Americans. They then try to scare American?s into not buying the copies AllofMP3 sells.
AllofMP3 owns a license from an entity that the US recognizes as having right to license AllofMP3 to sell this product. RIAA is not happy about this, but RIAA?s happiness is not yet law.

No you can burn a data cd no problem. The problem is that the music won't play. I could explain more details of DRM, but that's what google is for :)

buy.com + coupons works out to about $10 a disc for new cds, amazon sellers, ebay, the local used cd shops, and pedro's.

listen to samples through oink's.
