Music instrument and learning questions: Is it too late to start again?

Hi guys..this is for all u violin pple. I love that instrument, probly the most prestigious on earth. I played it for at 2 years (beginner) from 1998-2000. THen i moved to canada and stopped since. Now i am 18 and there is almost a 4 year gap..is it too late to start again? What do you guys think?

I dont see how it can be too late.

I hadn't played piano in 10 years and was able to pick it up again fairly quickly, though obviously not at the same level as before.
