So I picked up an Ipod nano to use in the gym, I need the music expertise of ATOT to help me pick out some music to listen to while I workout.

any song that reminds you of how much you hate your ex-gf and how much you want to put it to her best friend just so it hurts that slut even more is good for working out.

Anything loud and angry works for me.

yeah, looking for song suggestions, added that to the OP
I dunno - Metallica, Godsmack, Pantera, AC/DC should all fit the bill. The list is nearly endless.

True, but this is like two days ago, you hit the nail right on the head. Though this isn't the reason for me going to the gym, been going for a while. Just now started listening to music while I was there.

I never understood when someone asks for someone else to tell them what to listen to when they give no hint of what kind of music they enjoy. For example, my everyday jogging entails a variety of things like hard rock to even orchestral. I even use some songs from certain video games as I let my imagination loose. So really, just find songs that you enjoy listening to, period.

This is the best answer. Of course, some Motley Crue would work just fine as well.

Currently listening to power/prog metal (stratovarius, Angra, Avenged Sevenfold, dream theatre are a few).

Judging by this and other post, I'd say you'd enjoy Madonna's earlier work as well as the Top Gun soundtrack.

:music: 'Cause I'll be play-in', playin' with them boys!" :music:

Enjoy!

For me it's either Trance (DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren) or metal/hard rock (Nightwish, Three Days Grace).
