Music editing

There is one song that I have from a CD. The song itself is actually 3 songs combined into one track. For some reason the composer/company decided to do this - it wasn't for any kind of valid effect like Tool did with their Wings for Marie song.

Anyways, I'm trying to figure out a way to essentially "extract" the 2nd song from the track. I might even take the first one too so it will only play the first song and the second song (I hate the third one)

I only have Windows Media Player 10, iTunes, and Windows Movie Maker. I figured out how to edit the song how I want to on Movie Maker, but then I can't figure out how to have either Media Player or iTunes play the track after I've edited it.

Any help would be appreciated.

edit: BTW, I still have XP Pro.

I downloaded and installed the program according to these instructions, but I'm having some problems actually editing the track.

For one, when I import the track into Audacity it doesn't allow me to play the song. All it does when I hit the play button is make an annoying click and the output level meter will flash full green for that clicking sound. That's it.
