How can I cut the end part of a wma music? does media player allow me to do it?

probably not.

I would suggest checking out cakewalk.com they have several lines of audio software from expensive and powerful (sonar), to cheap and easy to use (pyro, plasma). one of those should fit your needs. a free alternative is audacity, but it is linux based i believe.

Here's a work around provided you can convert the .wma file to a .wav file. That would be step 1.

Step 2, play that .wav file in Windows Sound Recorder and cut off what you don't want. Save, and convert back to .wma.

wouldn't I lose soundquality doing that?

I believe Audacity does many types of files. I used it to grab all kinds of songs and sound bites to put behind my home videos..
