Music Composition Hardware

My motherboard just took a crap and I'm getting a new one. I'm mainly use my computer for music composition. I was wondering what the best motherboard, cpu, and RAM would be for music composition.

Current setup:
MOTHERBOARD: Albatron PX845PEV Pro
RAM: 512mb pc2700 DDR 333MHz brand: Patriot
CPU: Intel P4 socket 478

Thanks Kensai. That looks like a kick-ass board, but it's a bit more than I need. My budget is between $100 and $200

I'll be using Cubase SE for composing and Gigastudio3 for sampling. I'm just trying to keep it simple and straight forward for now.

I'm going to upgrade to 2x512mb ram; I hear good things about dual channel.

Additional current hardware:
MIA MIDI sound card

I'm thinking about keeping my Intel P4 2.4GHz socket 478 cpu and just getting a new motherboard and RAM. My budget is $200, maybe $250 if something looks really good.

Also, my roommate told me he researched preferred brands of motherboards for musicians and he named Intel, ASUS, and Gigabyte. He didn't get specific though, since he researched this a while back.
