Music clipping when browsing

When I browse the web and load a webpage, my music clips. It's the exact issue described in this thread
http://www.head-fi.org/t/664974/itunes-stuttering-when-using-firefox#post_9469981

Someone offers a solution which is to set "itunes to high priority, firefox to low = problem solved", but he doesn't explain how to accomplish that. Could anyone provide some guidance?

I don't use iTunes, but people are having the same problem with foobar2000 which is the same program I use. It also happens when using VLC to play music.
The problem occurs when plugging my headphones into my Asus Xonar U7 external soundcard. Using the onboard audio fixes it
Apparently it has to do with ASIO interfering with something, I don't really know how that works.
I'm not really sure how to fix this.. Help please!

Perhaps motherboard of your system having lots of dropouts.
you can check that by DPC Latency
basically it is windows it self and driver of any of the hardware (soundcard) not written properly.
Understand window OS is all about time sharing O/S
