Music cataloging software ?

deftron

Lifer
Wanted to make a database of my albums
(about 500 LP's)

The only thing I've seen is used for CD's and
uses the UPC code. Most of the albums I have
don't have UPC's on them and if they do, they're different
than the CD version.

IS there anything like allmusic.com available
where you can type in the artist / album name , it get
the tack listing, cover art, reviews, etc and puts the info
in a searchable local database?

You cant put a record in your CD-Rom

That looks like it's just for CD's

Edit: Nevermind ...

Adding albums (CDs, LPs, etc...) to the database

"Typing the Artist and Title (recommended for LPs)"

Unfortunately, the sources it uses for the catalog
are CD based ...
freedb
Amazon US
Amazon UK
Amazon CA
Amazon DE
Amazon FR
Amazon JP
CDTEXT (if available)
CDPLAYER.INI file

allmusic would be better cause it lists vinyl only albums too.
