Hey guys I'm looking to reduce my device usage down to one. I'm currently using an iPhone 4S and also have a Zune (cringe). I do love the Zune Pass and have been looking into alternatives for the iPhone.

Thus far I've found:

1) Spotify - Streaming/Offline Mode
2) Rhapsody - Streaming/Offline Mode
3) Pandora/Slacker - Streaming

I'm pretty much leaning towards paying for #1 or #2 just because I like the idea of an offline mode.

Do any of you have experience with Spotify and/or Rhapsody? Better yet do any of you have experience with those as well as the Zune Pass and have a comparative opinion?

Thanks!

I use Rdio because it is more like Pandora as far as Artist Radio .. picking a song and playing similar artists. Spotify did not have this option on the iphone app last time i used it

i love spotify but I'm too cheap to pay 10/month

spotify has a different implementation of music discovery compared to pandora (social vs software)

I use Zune pass (still) and just copy over the songs I buy (using the 10/mo credits) to my iPhone. I used to use the Zune so obviously it was a lot better being able to d/l whatever I wanted, but I passed my HD onto the wife and we got rid of her bulky one.

I can stream while I'm at work (home :)) so I don't absolutely need a huge variety while I'm on the go.

I was on Rhapsody but lost my entire library when I upgraded to iOS 5. Gave Slacker a shot. I love the offline caching function. I can get like 15 stations cached on my phone and play them offline without needing wireless or wifi. It's a nice function because it's totally random music that you can still skip or even play specific songs at a time. And it's playback quality is pretty decent.

You also have the ability to download specific artists/albums and play them back. But that's a mobile phone only function. You can't do that on a computer. I definitely prefer Slackers radio stations to Pandora or Rhapsody. Not as much live crap as Pandora plays. And I can filter out artists that I hate.
