Can anyone think of any good examples of songs that involve current issues in the lyrics? I'm having a bit of a hard time as I'm not really into music, any ideas? (The songs don't have to be songs of the present, they can be from the past, but they have to talk about issues from their day.)
 
i third Rage Against the Machine - check out the song Testify(the video may be better for your uses though)
 
Some Rap does (although i hate that crap), Rage definately does, although they are a bunch of hypocrites....classic rock has alot of stuff, but it is past issues.

Rage obviously.
Earthcrisis, snapcase, ummmm cant think of anymore hardcore bands, any hardcore band in the world. They deal with very current issues.
