Mushkin Infineon budget pc133 - not too shabby.

couldn't help myself when i saw no california sales tax and free shipping for infineon pc133 cas3 from mushkin ($89). turns out it does 133/cas2 no sweat, but that's all she wrote for cas2. after that w/ 3-2-2 settings, 147 is the highest i have tried - above that cpu becomes my main source of instability.

sandra2000 mem benches @ 3-2-2 at 147mhz on an Abit BF6:
ALU: 465 MB/s
FPU: 509 MB/s

all things being equal, i have to say dam good deal.

mine does 140 at CAS2. on KT7 RAID, FSB is set at 107 + 33 memory bus = 140 mhz.

good stuff here. memory benchmarks at: ALU: 538 mb/sec and FPU 625 mb/sec

Plester, its not via, but AMD's DDR FSB. On intel VIA chipsets have horrid memory bandwidth unless you tweak your system via an arcane hexidecimal tweak util.

We're talking 20% slower w/o tweaks at least... Intel works 20% faster outta the box w/o need to get out your geek tweaks.

well changing I/O to 3.5v, i can run at 110 FSB. so RAM is at 143 @ CAS2

ALU: 542 mb/sec and FPU 632 mb/sec

this RAM is good stuff.
