Mushkin incompatible?

I've been running my asus a7v with a stick of kingmax bga 150mhz and a stick of pny pc100. Today I got a 256MB dimm of mushkin 133 and everytime I try to boot it mixed up, I get stop errors trying to load the registry hive, sometimes the text is misspelled. I've tried cas 333 and 222, and 'optimal' and 'normal' options set, and at 133 or 100Mhz. My cpu is a duron 600 @ 800. Is there anything else I should try? Should I reinstall win2k?
