I use a lot of the 9.5mm ones at work, they're great - the Enhanced Chronos series has the lowest SSD failure rate of any brand I've tried over the last several years. I use these $6 Bytecc 3.5" bay adapters to install them in desktops:

They are double-decker, so you can add an additional drive in there (like a 2.5" 1TB backup drive for $90) and has vertical sides (unlike the flatter 3.5" adapter trays they usually include), which makes it easier to install in a desktop.
