Hello Anandtech,

Not sure if this has been asked anywhere in these forums, but why wasn't Mushkin included in your recent 865/875 memory comparison article? Mushkin's ram seems to be highly regarded among enthusiasts and the industry. Just seems like it was a glaring omission from this article, considering the Mushkin name is advertised on this very site (i.e. Anandtech's Forum Servers are Powered by Mushkin").

Good question....I've used Mushkin and Crucial for quite some time and had good luck with both. I do have to say that I have been happier with Mushkin since I have never had one of their chips die on me and I've had 3 Crucial chips bite the dust.

Well the thread was a month old when you dragged it out of the grave. Mushkin makes top quality RAM with service levels the other companies can only dream of, and is one of a tiny number of companies where the name is enough of a reason to buy.

Yeah well....it needed to be revived. Sort of a "Night of The Living Dead" kinda thing. ;) Anyway...it just surprised me that Mushkin was not included in the roundup. Seems odd since they are a site sponsor. I've used Mushkin and Crucial as my main RAM suppliers for quite some time now and have been happy with both. That being said I do have to say that I've never had a Mushkin stick die on me and I have had Crucial RAM go belly up. They were great about replacing it so no big deal there. I guess I just wanted to see Mushkin included in some sort of head to head with other brands since it is very popular with those of us that build/tweak our own systems but never seems to get any review space.

another vote of support for Mushkin, and another question as to why they weren't included. Like others, after a bad experience with another memory company, i opted for Mushkin; the one chip that has died, they expressed me another one even before i had returned the bad one. After purchasing 2 512mb DDR 3200's, a csr emailed me personally to verify the chips were working and that i was happy with the purchase. The added costs are worth the great quality and the excellent support.

Can't say how good their support is, never had to use it. :D Their is no doubt about their product though, at least not in my eyes.

Crucial is excellent as well. Had a couple of sticks die on me and their service has been top notch in replacing it.

they have some awesome ram that can easily stand the likes of corsair and kingston.

Doesn't take much to beat Kingston in my book. If it's on par with Corsair though, count me in. All I've used is Corsair and Crucial in my boxes because of the reliability factor, but if Mushkin is that good, I'm going to have to count them in next time I look for memory.

Mushkins has some reviews on there web site of there new Black series, looks like it beats all the rest as far a timings and overclock, there 3500 at stock timing will do 480 FSB stable and 460 FSB at 222 very nice. I am trying to get rid of a stick of Corsair I have so I can get me a 512 Black 3500, As allways with Mushkin CS if my setup does not like it or its defective one call and it all taken care of. worth paying a little extra for it.

Hate to bring this up again, but you ever think that perhaps Mushkin does not send memory for just the cost of shipping or free? When I used to do reviews, I would only review the stuff if the manufacturer played game.
I wouldn't waste my time doing a review if I had to pay thousands of dollars for it.

here's 1 data point.

mushkin "promo build 2-2-2" pc3200 2 x 256 on p4c800 at 2-2-2 , sandra score 5000 to 5030, cost $100 about a month ago
corsair xms pc3200 low latentcy pc3200 2 x 256 ---- same score currently price about $170

and the mushkin wasn't even the black level 1 or 2. Of course YMMV
