Just wanted to give you some input on my impressions of this SSD. This was the first SSD build for me but I gotta say it was pretty easy. I paired this with an ASUS 880g mobo, a budget AMB quad core, a 500 GB WD Blue HDD for media, and some budget G-Skill RAM.
I enabled AHCI in the BIOS, fired up Win7 x64. Installation took about 15 mins. The formatted disk space was 55GB, more than I expected considering other SSD's. Did the recommended SSD tweaks, and verified that TRIM was enabled. Then, I updated the graphics driver and left the rest alone. Boot takes about 15 seconds (about half that being POST) and shutdown about 5. I did not do any benchmarking, but it does get a 7.7 WEI rating if that tells you anything....
Overall I'm very impressed so far ! This was a build for a customer of mine who uses Photoshop and Premier a lot, so he wanted something fast without spending too much.
