The falls

Multnomah Falls is the 2nd tallest falls in the United States. Couldn't get back far enough to it all.. lol.

The girlfriend

No, she's not upset. If you actually look, it's a half smirk, she's just beginning to smile. 😛

Another falls pic

That was our day.. lol

COOL! I love Multnomah Falls. How come you didn't get a picture of both bridges??
It was rainy. We didn't stay long.. just wanted to stop by on our way to Hood River(which is a small town, for all you non-Oregonians) because my girlfriend had never actually stopped & been there before.

We went on a big loop.. Took I84 to Hood River, then route 34 over the hills to highway 26 and came back home over Mt. Hood.

I planned on taking lots of pics, but it was rainy the whole time. Thought maybe we would get out of it on the east side of the mountain, but no such luck.

I took another sequence of Multnomah Falls that are better, but unfortunately a water drop on my lens ruins them.. lol

I took that exact route, axcept we started with mt.hood/timberline and then went to the gourge (sp?) then to multnohmah. Woo, it was a long day, but fun 🙂

Tell me you also visited Horsetail Falls as well?
Nope, didn't stop there.. but I will be sure to show them to her sometime, as well as Waukina(sp?) falls..

Eli,
Nice pics! Makes me kind of homesick... when I used to race bikes, I used to ride out the old scenic highway from N.E. Portland couple of times a week... I never got tired of that ride...

Much better. Wow, that's such a gorgeous pic!
Yeah, awesome. Winters at the Falls are just amazing.

I would've loved to go there when we had those weeks of 18ºF weather.. it would've been spectacular, but impossible to get to.

Never heard of it, where is it in proximity to Multnomah Falls?

My wife and I were in the Columbia River Gorge a couple of years ago and saw most of the waterfalls along the road. Then we stopped overnight at the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. That entire area is beautiful.

It's just before Multnomah falls.

It's actually spelled Wahkeena.
