I have an older asus a7n8x deluxe (1.04) which has the older revision of the nforce2 mcp-t northbridge. It is passively cooled and doesn't like working above 184x2 front side bus. However, i know my cpu can still go higher but i can't seem to get my multiplier above 12.5 in the bios. If i choose 13 of higher as my multiplier, it shows it as a 800mhz cpu or something of similar speed. Anyone have any idea how to get multipliers above 12.5? Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.

sorry to not confirm this earlier... i have the 1.04 pcb, which uses the older northbridge which is known to be unstable at 200mhz fsb. I have swapped out the northbridge stock cooler with a zalman passive cooler. My cpu is a 2500+ and it runs fine with a multiplier of 12.5 (2800+). I want to be able to get to higher multipliers, but the numbers above 12.5 are actually lower on the list and ones above 14 are listed as follows: 7/14, 7.5/14.5 , etcetera. If i set my multiplier to 13 my cpu is seen as 833mhz (166x5).
Any idea what's going on here?

I have the same board and same cpu. My board is stable at 200fsb did you download bios 1004? run asus update you have to select the german server to download the bios. I think its called ftp:asus.de what week processor is it?? I treid the same thing with the mutiplyer and I get the smae results as you did. I think that it thinks its a 4 muti rather then a 13x.
