Multiplier changes? speedstep?

I just built a new computer and opened cpu-z and my multiplier changes non stop.. its very annoying and i dont lkike it. I googled the problem and people said to disable speed step.. but i dont see that in my bios.

I just got a amd64 5400+ x2
and a gigabyte m61p-s3 motherboard


can anyone help?



o yeah.. i would also like to know the default multiplier... and maybe a good overclocking guide becuse im used to overclocking older computers... not this htt crap and stuff 🙂
