Multiplier change on a 3500+ with a k8n NEO4

Heyas!

I have just recently got my new computer which you can see in my sig. I'm really a newbie at computer hardware today - Picked up the interest again when I started "researching" for the computer I was going to buy. Anyway, I made up my mind for this one, and its working great.

And when things are working great you automaticly want them to work even more great, and therefor the art of overclocking is very fun to play with! 🙂

So anyway, I read the great "Quick and dirty"-guide, but the answers of my problems were not there. The thing is, I'd like to push up my HTT to 250 so I can get max prestanda out of my RAM, but here's the funny thing I cant understand: I can't change my multiplier from 11 to 10, and thats simply because I don't see the option anywhere in my BIOS! (Using the latest version, think its 1.20). And I've said to myself that I must be blind but seriously, its not there!

So, is there a way to change the multiplier outside BIOS?

And if there is, stop mockin me already! 😉 As I said, I'm out on deep water, but its really funny so I have to fix this!

Thanks

I have the same problem with MSI neo4 platinum SLI but then again I am new to ocing so I have no idea if multiplier option should be in bios or is it changed through other settings. Anyway, I e-mailed MSI so I'll let you know what they have to say.

Hi guys...had the freedom to look it up in the manual *cough*
In BIOS go to "Cell Menu" => "CPU Ratio" => instead of "startup" set anything between 4x and 12x.

Oh, and welcome to the forums (both of you) 😀

Thanks for your intervention. I actually found it but wrote VID instead of ratio. I just forgott which one it was after I booted and there is the printing error in my mobo manual where I can't see CPU Ratio so I thought that it must have been CPU VID. Kinda retarded, but there's a bit to much info for the first time bios experience.
