Ok, so I set up a computer with XP pro and a usb wifi adapter. Set up the router, enable WEP, MaC filtering and everything is up a running. Now another network sometimes becomes available and XP pops up with anyoning window and I lose my encrpyted good network. Signal strength is not a problem. Is there a way I can create a firewall of sorts that will only let the pc see the one network? Thanks, I tried searching for the deal, but I couldn't find anything.

Is the other network yours, or maybe a neighbors? I think XP has a setting to only use selected networks. You can add yours to the list, and leave the other off of it.

Indeed you can. You can set it to use only infrastructure (WAP) networks, you can set it to autoconnect only to selected networks, you can set it to autoconnect to any available network, etc, etc, etc. I no longer run wireless, so I can't offhand tell you what to do, but all you need to do is remove the offending networks from your preferred network list and you should be good.
