Multiple WAP's and Hardware quality question

First, if I want to have 3 access points, so that on each level of a house, there is good connection, but under the same name, so that the computer doesn't have to switch between networks, how do I do that? What kind of hardware is needed and what spec will each AP differ on so that they are unique? MAC address?

Second, is there any company with networking hardware that is one step above consumer grade items? I was looking at some Cisco equipment and they all seem to be over the $300 mark.

Overall, this is what I want:
1. Router
2. Wireless network
3. 3 access points

In terms of a budget, ideally, the whole package, for under $200. If it can't be done, tell me what it takes or what choices I have. I've always just gotten something on sale, free after rebate, etc. and if spending $200 can get me 4-5 years of reliability, I'd like to just do that.

Seamless roaming is only possible with enterprise equipment. Currently your best option is simply what Jack said. Granted setting up all the keys initially will be a little annoying but overall not bad.
