ok heres the deal

its NT has to be NT for the software compatabilty on a program i use for work

i have 3 PCI TNT Cards and it works fine on the XP/2k systems i have a similar setup in

i want to be able to run the multiple monitors but i cant seem to figure out how to set them up in NT

The important part:

"Microsoft Windows 98, 98SE, ME, Windows 2000, XP and 2003 all have built-in support to recognize multi-monitor configurations. Windows NT4 and earlier and Windows 95 do not."

Seems like a legitimate source of information, I know companies out there made multi-mon programs for NT4, not sure how well they worked

Another good resource saying the same thing:

http://www.digitalroom.net/index2.html

It looks like some cards support it through drivers, some don't

i may just snag a dual head card out of a gx260 really want 3 monitors but 2 will be better than 1 thanks for the info
