Multiple video cards, drivers, and drm

alright. ive got a system set up with a 7600gt (pci-e) running two 19" screens at 1440x900, and i installed a fx5500 so that I could also hook up my tv at 1366x768.

when i put in the 5500 everything worked well. vista recognized and used windows drivers, extending the desktop was great and everything.

the problem is that if i move vista media center onto the tv screen i get a DRM warning and then a BSOD/restart. the only way of fixing this was to install nvidia drivers for the 5500. as it turns out, nvidia doesnt use the unified drivers anymore, so i have 2 seperate drivers for the two cards, and now my 7600gt wont output anything higher than 1280x1024. am i done for here? should i just roll with 1280x800 on my 19"s or is there another option?

thanks.

If the 5500 can't use the same Nvidia driver as the 7600GT than you cannot use WDDM with both cards installed and are probably being downgraded to the XPDM. I don't know if your issue is being caused by that or by the 5500 not supporting HDCP but either way you should probably dump the 5500.
