multiple usb printer

First of all I need to run 20 printers off of one computer. All of these printer are laser printers mostly HP and Lexmark, and a Brother printer. I trying not to spend tons of money, so i'm avoiding an ethernet network. Eight of these printers also have a usb connector. I thought about getting 2 - 4 port usb external hubs to run these. The others have parallel only and I though about using an adaptor I've seen that converts parallel to usb then getting more usb hubs to run these. I do have three parallel ports so three of the printer I can run off of those.

With all these printers connected to usb I was wondering if its possible I might come across any conflicts. I know that 127 devices can be used but I've never heard of anyone doing this before. Also I wonder is the adaptor to convert parallel to usb will work with any type of printer which laser printers I'm concerned with.

You may as some USB Printers won't work through Hubs. I had 6 going succussfully but that's a lot of Printers!

I suspect you are territory where few have traveled so you may have to experiment. When I hooked up 6 I used a hub but had to switch a few around plus 2 Scanners. I'm sure the PCI Card would help but keep in mind that USB also shares bandwith so running many together may also be another area of concern along with drivers conflicting if you are using more than 1 of the same Printer Model.

actually every printer is a different model. I manufacture laser cartridges so I have different models to test different cartridges

Yeah remanufacture, many terms available such as recharge, recycle. I tend to choose the term compatible laser cartridge as to recycled laser cartridge. I try to disassociate myself from people who drill and fill. I replace all components in a cartridge and run standardized life test to insure I used the right components.
