Multiple TV-Tuners

I want to build me a machine that is going to be used for one thing only.

A VCR with a vengence 🙂

I want to be able to record at least two channels at the same time.
To be able to do that I have to get two (or more) tuner-cards
I also have to get some good IR-hardware to control the beast 🙂
or just get a compact black IR/Radio keyboad with builtin touchpad.

I have found little or non articles about tuner-cards.
There is a article on Anandtech (of cource) but thats not
the right cards for this job.

I guess I have to write at least some of the software myself
so the cards should have gnu drivers for linux that I can work with.

Just think to be able to dump all thoose VRC-tapes, never
searching for one that have enough space, is rewinded and so on.

Just take up the remote and press record and the stuff is
on your harddrive.
When you have watched it press delete and it's gone, but
with the price on harddrives you really don't have to ;-)

Any thoughts/tips/hints about this pet project of mine?
Kjell 😎

It likely won't work. I know there are incompatabilities when putting a Win-TV card in with a Radeon AIW. My guess is that other similar combinations will have difficulties as well. Makes sense. I can't even run Video-in and my DVD player at the same time.
