Multiple Startup Profiles

So I'm wondering if there's some way to create multiple startup profiles, with each profile only loading up certain apps on startup.
I tried one out, can't remember what it was called, but there was no way (or atleast I couldn't figure out how) to edit each profile to have it's own startup apps.
Basically want an easier way to only run minimal apps when I'm gaming, instead of going through the Task Manager and manually ending processes.
Advanced Startup Manager is what I had already tried.. just remembered.

Thanks.

Just create several Diffeant log-ins or log on names and customize eachone

I tried that.. but can't seem to figure where to customize the start-up apps for each user.. and as I said, I tried Advanced Startup Manager, but everything I edited, changed it for the system, not the user.

Is this what you are talking about?

If not I would recomend doing a dual boot configuration, one for general use and the other for games. You can do it on the same hard drive or separate drives (i.e. one drive has an os configured just for games and has games and related stuff or downloads only installed on it)

I have Three HDD's Two of them have OS' installed on them and the thrid one is for downloads and storage. A total of 280 GB
200gb -> Primary
40gb -> Secondary and back up drive that lets me fix and retrieve data when the first one crashes, and some storage for when my first 40gb fills up.
40gb -> Storage

[*] Make sure that you are logged on as the profile or user that you are trying to change and not loged as the administrator. Logging on as the Admin will change the profiles for all users.

[*] If you have any questions about how to change and edit profiles, I recomend you do what I often do: Spend a Lot of time at your local Library. My favorite book on Windows XP settings is called- Windows: XP Under the Hood, By Brian Knittel and is published by QUE. I personaly own this book.
