Multiple shadow copy on single volume

Has anyone setup shadow copies (from Windows Server 2003) of multiple drives and have the shadow copy files located on a separate, single volume?

For example, I have drive D, E, and F. All three have shadow copies enabled. Can all three shadow copy location be set to G? I know it is possible but is it recommended? Are there performance issues?
