hey,

I am at home, and my parents have a wireless router that is 100mbs for wired, but is only 11mbs for wireless, i have a 108mbs router that i use for school. I wanna wire in my wireless router into his router and use my wireless. he has to keep his router going for his computer. I wanna just use my network over his network too. is this possible? if it is how should i wire and config both his and my routers. thanks for your help

I would perfer mine to be a separate network is the thing, not part of the same network, i just want to use the first router as my internet source.

Plug your routers WAN port into an open port of the first router. Set your routers WAN interface to DHCP if you want it to get an IP automagically from the first router, or set your own IP/SM/DG if you want.

This is the quick and easy way. You will have to plan IP address stuff so your routers don't get confused.

hi adqttr,

i have same problem last week, since I don't have any idea how to configure the said setup, I seacrh over the internet regarding networking problem and learned that SUPPORTRIX technical support providing a free support as their promo, just need to provide supportcall as the promotion code. What they've done to my network is connect my second router to the main router from lan connection of the main going to the wan connection of the secondary router. They said that I need to change the local ip address of my router because its the same what I have with the main router. DHCP SERVER still enable on both router, they change the wireless settings of each router. And let my wireless pc connect to my secondary router and it works perfectly.
