Multiple PSU's

Modular

I have no desire to actually do this, but I'm interested in how it would work. How can you get 2 PSU's to work in one computer? My understanding is that the PSU needs a "Power Good" signal to turn on, as well as a signal from the MOBO that tells it to supply the power. How would you get this signal to more than one PSU. My thoughts are that you would have to splice some wires...

Yep, green wire is the power good signal, so jumper green to green, and connect a couple of grounds, that way when you turn on the power supply thats connected to the motherboard, it will also turn on the second PSU.

Thanks guys, it works. I guess I can see how this could be handy for someone on a budget, building a DX10 rig for new games etc, and not wanting to upgrade their PSU again...

Especially considering that dedicated graphics card PSU's are now available, anyone with a spare PSU can link them up and make one a dedicated GPU PSU.
