Multiple OS's On Same PC

I have heard that it's possible to alternately boot different OS's ( e.g. Win '98 and Win 2000 ) from the same PC disk . Is installation and running of this a simple affair or is it just going to cause all sorts of problems ? Am talking of an ASUS A7V/T'Bird 1GHz/IBM 30GB disk/Win '98 SE running smoothly . Are there any good guides on the Internet about this ?

Hi,
99% of th time it is a aimple proceedure to setup a dual-boot scenario. This is done for quite a few reasons. I personally run 98Lite strictly for gaming on my PC and run win2K for eveything else. Some people have combined windows and linux or even freeBSD/openBSD. Sometimes it is for learning(ie MCSE) or sometimes just to try things out. With your 98se machine, you could definitely add win2K or linux with very little trouble. I don't know of any sites that explain this too well, sorry. Search the forums, you will find your answer.
As Always,
D

If you've got 98se already installed, just boot to 98se and run the win2k setup program...tell it to install a fresh copy, point it to /winnt, and do not convert the disk to ntfs. that will ruin your day.
