multiple OS boot - how do I remove one???

I had WIN 2000 originally, but I decided to upgrade to XP. Now I have two operating systems to choose from, and its slowing down my computer perfomance. I really want to just reformat and install a single OS. If I try reinstalling XP, it only gives me the option of deleting the previous version of XP, but not 2000. Someone help me please.
 
When you reinstall you will have to format the drive/partition 🙂

And it shouldn't "slow down" your computer, as only 1 will be loaded at any one time. It will just use a couple of GB more on your hard drive, but that shouldn't affect peformance

Maybe you mean it sits at the menu for 30 seconds waiting for you to select which to boot. You can speed that up.

In My Computer, select View System Information.

Click the Advanced tab.

In Startup and Recovery, click Settings.

There you will find 'Time to display list of operating systems.' Drop that down to 1 or 2 seconds.

Now click OK.


 
Just format C:\

Then proceed with your clean install.

PS It will ask you if your sure that you want to do the format etc. Just tell it yes.:wine:
