Set up my home network last month, proud of myself for getting it up and running as a newbie. Now, in school we're working with Linux and so I installed Linux on my home computer, and it seems not to be able to compat with my Linksys LNE100TX EtherFast card. I've tried lots of stuff and gone to websites for docs and seen a number of clues that Linux just won't work with this card. I've decided to try another card, which is on the compat list as OK, hey, what's 20 bucks? And I just thought -- since my beautiful new computer has several extra PCI slots open, could I not keep my Linksys, and when I'm in Linux just move the cable to the other card? My local Staples sells Netgear 310TX, which the RedHat HCL says is OK. Not that the Netgear wouldn't work with both Windows and Linux, but I'm curious as a learner here.
