ok, so I've been running my 9700 with a monitor in the office, and S-video line running to the TV in the livingroom. I just used the "clone" method, so you get the same thing on both screens.
I just got a 19" dell Ultrasharp (phat monitor) to add to my office. I wanna use the spanned desktop in it. I dont have anyproblems getting the screen setup, its just a little quirk i've run into.
the TV is using S-video
the 21" CRT is using oldshool monitor cables (VGA i guess)
the 19" is on DVI
I wanna use the new 19" and the TV for my prmary screens, and the 21" tube for my spanned desktop.
the problem is that the 21 and the TV are paired together in the display options. if i try to change one to primary or secondary both the TV and 21 stay together, and the 19 flips conversly.
is there anyway to fix this?
I have the newest drivers from ATI (as of a week ago), and i remebered noticing something called hydravision on their website. do you think this would allow me to set them differently?
right now my Display screen shows four possible connections
[Monitor][YPbPr] <-component is greyed out cuz i'm not using it.
[__TV__][ F P D]
but monitor and TV are locked together as a pair, FPD is where my new LCD is connected, it's locked to the opposit of the other two.
