I just got a new LG C3 42" to add to my monitor collection. Layout is like this:

r/Monitors - Multiple Monitor Sleep Issue

4 = LG C3, HDMI

1 = U2717D, 1440p, DP

3 = AW3418DW, 1440p UW, DP

2 = U2719D, 1440p, DP

GPU = RTX 4090 FE

OS = Windows 11 Pro, fully up to date

I don't always have the C3 on. I use this setup to work from home and mainly use monitors 1-3 only while working. The C3 is for gaming and watching TV.

The issue occurs when my PC goes to sleep. When coming out of sleep, only monitor 1 comes back on. In order for monitors 2 and 3 to come on, I have to turn on the C3. I can turn it back off right away, but that's annoying and I never had this issue with the previous 4k TV I had connected in the same configuration.

I ran DDU to remove the graphics drivers and reinstalled clean to see if that would help, but the issue persists.

Power Saving is OFF on monitors 1-3.

Hibernation is disabled in Windows

Has anyone had any experience with this and know a solution?

Thanks

That's a very specific setup...don't think I can help you, but perchance do you have an AMD GPU?
Nvidia has well known display engine issues and monitors sleeping poorly/waking up poorly has been reported a lot of times by a lot of people.

If you could test with an AMD GPU and the problem goes away, that'd be that.

No AMD GPU. I actually realized later yesterday that this also happens when the monitors just turn off after 15 mins. Only the ones comes back on. Computer doesnt sleep until 1 hour.

Anyway, I just disabled the C3 while I work. I can just reenable it when I want to game on it. That solved the problem.
