WOW, for the first time today, I decided to use multiple monitors, what fun!! I use all advantage, getpaid, netzero, and 3 other banners, now I get to put them on one monitor, and use the other monitor clean!!!

are there any downsides to this great technology?!?!?!

Hardware OpenGL support is automatically disabled under Win 98x if more than one display adapter is detected. MiniGL driver get around this, but they are not true OpenGL ICDs.

Video overlay doesn't work on displays other than the primary. No DVD on the second head (yet - Matrox may support it with another driver release).

Certain apps don't understand different monitor resolutions. Set the primary to 1024x768, the secondary to 1280x960, then try to fullscreen Word on the secondary display - it won't be any bigger than 1024x768.

The real advantage of dual monitors is that you can have 2 apps in full screen mode simulaneously.

If you've got the slots and the room you ought to add a third monitor, put the banners on it and put that monitor out of the way out of sight. Then you'll have the full advantage of duals.
