Multiple low profile PC's

I am hoping someone can help with a difficult problem.

I am independent contractor working from home and currently have 3 different clients, and adding a 4th client all who require access to their individual networks and systems.

I use a single PC with a dual 20 LCD monitor and 2 Dell 15" laptops. Unfortunately
none of the vpn's play nice on the same computer and require rebooting each time
(at least none of the IS people could get them working). So I use those 3 units to
login separately (sometimes concurrently)

I would like to add a 3rd LCD and a KVM switch and use 3-4 pc's
I tried VMware and 3 virtual machines but some specialty client apps did not work well.

Unfortunately my office is a mess of wires, laptops, a tower PC, printers, fax machine
adding 3 PC's is going to be hellish.

The minimum performance level on each PC would be
video performance of a ATI 9600 Pro
P4-1.2ghz (thats what I have currently and it suffices but is noisy)
2 Gigs of RAM

I really do not want any more fans going, and a stackable silent solution would be excellent.

I thought about getting 3 Antec micro-atx PC's and stacking them or Acer MiniPC's
I just dont want to get carried away with costs. Ideally a 4 unit rack would clear
up the clutter and solve all my problems but my initial research tells me this is
untenable in cost.

Any ideas you have would be most helpful!!
