Multiple laptop as a single extened computer?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i am wondering, if is possible to use multiple laptop together through ethernet as a single computer?

or

even use them as an extened monitor?

like i have 3 laptop and all of them's LCD act as a extened desktop or multiple monitor?

I think that there is something called MaxiVista on Windows, I don't know if it will do what you want, but it is supposed to.

MaxiVista will work to use other laptops as extended monitors.

If you are asking if its possible to use the hardware (CPU, RAM, HDD) from multiple computers as one faster computer, then no.

Not with Windows at least. I think that there are ways to do it with Linux, and I know that OS X has something called XGrid that will let you tap into other networked systems resources. I think that at least the host (maybe all the systems) need OS X Server, so it isn't exactly a home user thing.
